NVidia Users: Also make sure you have Ambient Occlusion DISABLED in your GPU Control Panel, as using that along with the ENBseries SSAO effect will murder your performance.
You may try reducing view distances if you find that the game performs too slow with the mod enabled. The mod implements 16x- anisotropic filtering by default, and this can be configured in the enblocal.ini file. Optionally, also disable any Anisotropic filtering from the Fallout NV Launcher and your GPU control panel. Leaving this enabled will cause severe visual artifacts with some waterareas. Just remember - USING MULTISAMPLING ALONG WITH THIS MOD PRODUCES A FLAT GREY SCREEN OR OTHER ERRORS- you've been warned!ĭisable 'Water Displacement' in the Fallout New Vegas launcher settings. Very pretty but also performance intensive. Accumulative AA algorithms by Boris Vorontsov (enabled by default, CANNOT be toggled in-game)- SuperSampling Resolution: when enabled, adds a resolutiuon to your launcher window that is 4x your monitor size, but will be automatically scaled to fit it. Edge AA algorithm by Boris Vorontsov (enabled by default, can be toggled in-game) ENBseirs does however include several of its own AA options that may be enabled in the enblocal.ini file: the standard AA available from the Fallout New Vegas options menu. For various enblocal.ini presets by the ENBseries creator, download the following mod: Ībout Antialiasing: ENBseries is NOT compatible with MSAA (Multisampling Antiasliasing), i.e.
You are free to use the ENBlocal.ini file provided with this mod, though you may have better results configuring one specific to your personal computer setup. All other enbseries-related files should remain in your FalloutNV root folder.
If you still want to use the 4GB Launcher Mod, install it normally, then install the enbseries d3d9.dll file into the 'exes' folder created by the 4GB Launcher mod. You MAY use them together, but for me it RUINS performance. Using the 4GB Launcher mod is NOT recommended for use with this mod. I cannot confirm that ENBinjector functionality works as intended, nor do I provide support for it.ģb) FOR USERS OF THE 4GB LAUNCHER MOD FROM You must then RUN enbinjector.exe prior to launching Fallout New Vegas in order for the mod to work you may close it ater your game has started. Otherwise, instead of installing the d3d9.dll from the 'Wrapper Version' folder, install from the 'Injector Version' folder the following three files: enbseries.dll, enbinjector.exe and enbinjector.ini.
copy ONLY the d3d9.dll file into your Fallout New Vegas root folder, where the FalloutNV.exe is located.ģa) NOTE for Users with nVidia Optiums graphics cards: It will contain two folders, 'Wrapper Version' and 'Injector Version'.
If the file is no longer available, download the newest version listed on Įxtract the ZIP file you download and extract the contents. Download ENBseries 0.249 from bottom of page. The root folder is generally found at the following location:Ħ4-Bit systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\fallout new vegasģ2-Bit systems: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas
> INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - REQUIRED - READ THEM!!!!!!Ĭopy all the files from the 'INSTALLATION FILES' folder into your Fallout New Vegas root folder, where the FalloutNV.exe is located do NOT install the files into your Fallout NV 'Data' folder. This has nothing to do with weak hardware, just an error in the installation process ).
(Note: Before you ask, my PC isn't the problem. Here are the exact steps I followed when installing. I'm mainly just curious to see if anyone else still has this problem, and if there is a solution. I've read the instructions to no avail, and most guides on the internet of which I've read only cover issues that I've already solved. Whenever I start the game up, ENB is there, but the ES mod has no effect in the game. However, the Enhanced Shaders mod, it just doesn't work. I'm sure this is a result of my lack of ingenuity or just because I haven't looked hard enough, but I installed an ENB and Preset (Enhanced Shaders) on my PC, and I managed to get everything working, including 4GB compatibility, NVSE compatibility, and the ENB itself to work.
